A Compendium of Recognition Letters for Sections A and B
Examinations.
The Institution has recently published A Compendium of Recognition Letters for Sections A and B Examinations containing the scores of letters received from various establishments, viz, MHRD, AICTE, IITs, UPSC, UGC, IIMs, Bar Council of India, universities, public and private sector undertakings, State Govt. undertakings, foreign universities, professional societies in India and abroad, GATE Examination, NARIC, UK, etc. The price of the publication is fixed as Rs. 500/- (inclusive of postal charges) and US$ 50 for persons interested to receive the Compendium outside India. Interested Corporate members, passouts of Sections A and B Examinations and others can send their request for a copy of the Compendium, enclosing a demand draft of Rs. 500/- to the Director (EEA), The Institution of Engineers (India), 8 Gokhale Road, Kolkata 700 020, mentioning their membership number, mobile number, e-mail id and complete mailing address. On receipt of such request, a copy of the Compendium will be sent by speed post/courier/registered post.

Government of India
Ministry of Education and Social Welfare, Government of India’s acceptance of Sections A and B as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the appropriate field of engineering. [Click Here]
IIM
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad accepts Sections A & B passed students for admission to the Postgraduate Programme. [Click Here]
IIT
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay accepts Sections A & B passed students for admission to the Postgraduate Programme. [Click Here]
AICTE
AICTE approval does not apply for AMIE. The equivalence of AMIE is approved by Board of Assessment, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, and by The Association of Indian Universities for employment and academic equivalence. [Click Here]
However AICTE has approved the eligibility for AMIE Passouts with M.E./M.Tech for Teaching Assignments.

Hi Friends i have checked the GPA i have achieved with the calculator i have made in excel
Three cases are checked here
Case-1 : Only Section A GPA is calculated as per the Section A Grade Card
Case-2: Only Section B GPA is calculated as per the Section B Grade Card
Case-3: AMIE CGPA = Section A+B+ Project and Lab is calculated as per the Section A/B Grade Card.
Its perfectly matching with the GPA/ CGPA printed in Original grade card received from IEI.

Wonderful about AMIE Exams is If you just pass the exams, you will get first class with percentage 63.27% and CGPA 6.60.
Hi Friends, All other exams have First class, Second class etc..
But wonderful thing about AMIE Exams is if you just pass the exams with minimum grades possible, you will get first class with percentage 63.27% and CGPA 6.60.

Section A:- Achieved Grades B,C,C,D
(Passed with D Grade Criteria)
Section B:- Achieved Grades B,C,C,C,C,C,C,D,D
(Passed with D Grade Criteria)
Project and Lab:- Achieved H, H
(Most Important thing is you have to get H Grade in Project and Lab (this is the secret))
