Informatics. Information systems for decision making; Data management and database management technology; Office automation system-LAN, WAN, electronic mail, electronic .data interchange; client server technology; overview of TCP/IP; Information systems for business; Strategic information systems; Information resources management.
GROUP B
Computer basics. History, generations and classification of computers; Number systems; Boolean algebra.Hardware. Introduction to logic gates an flip flops; components of a computer input/output devices, CPU unit and memory unit, secondary storage. Software. System software; application software; compilers and translators. Operating systems. Introduction to operating systems;' types of operating systems and their functions; popular operating systems-MS-DOS, UNIX and Windows; file. management.
How I had prepared for these subjects? What is my preparation Strategy?
Computing Informatics is an easy subject for those from IT/Computers background, however its a very hard subject for others. Computing and informatics subject consists of three parts:-
- Introduction Of Computers (Including Networking)
- C Language Programming
- C++ Language Programming
Students normally want to leave C/C++ programming and want to just study the Introduction Of Computers part for the exam, however, it has been witnessed that in AMIE Exams, more and more questions are coming from C/C++ language. So you need minimum knowledge in programming so that you can attempt some of the questions from programming too. I have studied this book for my exams. If you want to learn C and C++ Language very easily, Just watch these video tutorials. I am 100% sure that you will love C/C++ programming after watching these videos. Check these excellent free video tutorials for C and C++, they are really very good. After watching these videos, you will become a master of C & C++ language. You may require to have a Best Laptop or Desktop to run these C and C++ programs. I will post a separate post on How to Install software to run these C & C++ programs.

Only Jain Brothers Publishes these question papers. It Contains old solved papers from 2005 (As per new AMIE Syllabus). You can take these books and read while you travel. Covers Group C one mark questions which are must for every student.

You need to get and read 10 Years of previous solved papers of Jain Brothers, which will be very useful for the studies.

2. Introduction to computers by N Peter, Tata Mc Graw hill Co. (I have studied this book. It's good and sufficient for Computer basics. You can other books also).
3. Thinking in C including Object Oriented Programming with C++ by PB Mahapatra, S Chand Co Ltd
