Before Clearing about the Doubt, Read following Information which is clearly mentioned in the ieindia.org website.

AMIE Students can apply for Examination online from this link. Candidates, interested to make online payment of requisite fee by credit card for appearing in the Examination / Registration for Section 'B' / Re-registration of Examination and Change of Optional Subjects, are requested to click here on the Online Payment Gateway

 Advantages of AMIE Online Payment for Examination-related Services 

No need of making the draft and paying commission to banks. 
No risk of loss of draft in postal transit. 
No more delay in receipt of draft at IEI. 
No delay in getting acknowledgement from IEI (through the 'Request Reference Number' and 'Authorization Code'.
The candidates are advised to ensure receipt of acknowledge in the form of 'Request Reference Number' and the 'Authorization Code' after completion of the transaction. The transactions without the 'Authorization Code' will not be considered as valid.

What precautions you have to take while applying for AMIE Examinations in Online Mode?

1.  You must take screenshot of the Online filled AMIE Exam form before proceeding to the Payment. Take printout and keep it with you. In case your exam form does not receives at IEI HQ or, if there are some anamolies, like wrong subject code displayed in Admit Card etc, you can show this form and appear in the exams by submitting Undertaking Certificate in the exam hall.

2.  You must take screenshot of the Online Payment Confirmation details. The candidates are advised to ensure receipt of acknowledge in the form of 'Request Reference Number' and the 'Authorization Code' after completion of the transaction. The transactions without the 'Authorization Code' will not be considered as valid.

3. Once you get the above details as screenshot, then there is no need to send any other exam form to IEI. But for your safety and peaceful mind, Please send the screenshot printouts to IEI HQ by Speed Post (It Costs you only Rs 35, but gives you peace of mind).

Download AMIE Winter 2016 Question Papers held at Tamil Nadu in Jan 2017

I Request all Tamil Nadu Students on behalf of all AMIE Students to Upload  AMIE Winter 2016 Question Papers held at Tamil Nadu in Jan 2017.

There is only One way to get old question papers for AMIE Winter 2017 exams held in Tamil Nadu in Jan 2017:-



AMIE Students who attended the exams have to upload the photos/ Images of AMIE Old Question Papers. However, I find it very rare. I request each and every student of Tamil Nadu reading this post to just take a photo of Winter 2017 AMIE Question papers you have attended with your android phone/camera and upload in following link (Google Drive Folder)

AMIE Section A & B, List Of Subjects, Syllabus, Study Notes, Video Tutorials and Books Recommended by Institution of Engineers (India)


After replying to the students from years through my Facebook page, I came to know the biggest doubt every AMIE student has in his mind. 

That is "Which books to study?", Study Materials Given by IEI is sufficient to pass the exam or not?

For this, I got a solution, Along with the study materials supplied by IEI, you must study the Books Recommended by the Institution Of Engineers (India).

Refer to the books which are advised by IEI as reference books. Previous years Solved papers are also quite useful.

Do you know the books Recommended by the Institution Of Engineers (India) for each subject of AMIE Section A & B? It’s available in Volume II Syllabus Books given by IEI. Do you know that maximum questions may come from the same books?

AMIE Winter 2016 Exam Form Rejection List Published

Check the list for Exam form rejection for Winter 2016 Examinations. Normally IEI will not reject your exam forms unless otherwise the form has blunder mistakes which are not in the hands of IEI to rectify and process the Exam Form. Small mistakes will be corrected and IEI processes the exam forms. If you analyze the reasons of Exams forms rejected for Summer 2016/ Winter 2016 exams you will have a clear idea about the exam form rejections.

Common Reasons for Rejection of Exam Form:-

1. Your application for registration of Section B with requisite fee has not been received/received with wrong branch/ optional subject code number(s) (Clause 2.3). 

Explanation:- Its Self Explanatory.

2. You are not eligible for Section A Examination as your stipulated period of six years is expired with Winter 2015 Examination or before. Thereafter, your application for Re-registration for Section A Examination with demand
draft of Rs 2500/- has not been received. 

Explanation:- This is a major rejection reason, most of the students unable to count the number of attempts or they don't know when the period of 6 Years is completing. Here is the simple trick for this, If You are elected as ST Member on 31 Mar 2016, you will be eligible for Exams from Winter 2016 onwards. So, from Winter 2016, 12 Exam attempts (6 years), i.e. from Winter 2016 to Summer 2021 Exams. After completion of this period you have to apply for re-registration before applying for exams.

3. You are not eligible for Section B Examination as your stipulated period of six years is expired with Winter 2015 Examination or before. Thereafter, your application for Re-registration and registration of Section B [with demand draft of Rs. 2500/- and Rs. 4500/- and (Rs. 3000/- for Corporate Members)] have not been received.

4. You have already secured exemption in all subjects of Section B as per the scheme. Project report and/or laboratory experiments is/are yet to be completed.

Explanation:- Only Project and Lab is left, all other subjects passed.

5. You are not eligible to re-appear in the examination as you have already passed completely in an earlier attempt.

Explanation:- Already passed and you don't know this? It happens due to D grade criteria. So don't worry you have already passed. 

6. Since you were elected as T/ST member after 31 Mar 16, you are not eligible to appear in Summer 2016 examination as per rules. 

Explanation:- (You can not just apply for exams immediately after becoming ST/T Member. It has got some rules. Check following Image. You can apply for exams only as per this)


7. For any other silly and simple mistakes, like writing Non Diploma stream in place of Diploma Stream or vice versa, and writing wrong subject names etc will be taken care by IEI.

Download Admit Card for AMIE Winter 16 Section A & B Examinations will be conducted from 03 Dec 16 to 09 Dec 16 in following two sessions. AMIE Winter 2016 exam timings:-

IEI will indicate only name of Exam Center on the Admit Card, Address of the Exam Centers will be separately announced/ notified. Check following link for Address of the Exam Centers.

IEI/ AMIE has withdrawn supplying hard copy of the admit card to students. You have to take printout of the Admit Card from this link.

Following problems are being faced by AMIE Students appearing for the Examinations. Check the point  to point reply to each of these problems.

1. The subject code you have mentioned in Exam form is not displayed in your Admit Card.

2. You want to appear in subject other than the subjects displayed in the Admit Card (you must be eligible to appear and is within limit of 4 subjects) 

3. After the result is announced, you have passed the particular subject but same is displayed in Admit Card (because of applying for winter 16 exams before announcement of summer 2016 results).

For these three above problems, you can easily fill the following Undertaking Form and appear in the examinations for the particular subject.

4. If you do not have Identity Card issued by IEI (May be any authentic reason). In this case fill this Form Of Undertaking for non receipt of Identity Card. Fill the form, affix passport sized photograph and submit along with copy of Identity Proof at Exam Center.

Latest Good News: IEI Extended Winter 16 Fees last date upto 30 Nov 2016: Check Details

Latest Good news for students who have already paid Rs 2000 by DD/Online, but missed sending Rs 1000 DD to IEI for Winter 2016 Exams.

 Hi friends I have sent a message to IEI regarding students who missed sending Rs 1000. Check this message, this was my request Email screenshot.

 Now IEI has considered in view of the cash crunch and demonetization and promptly replied to me saying that you can send exam fees by DD of Rs 1000 before 30 Nov 2016. so what are you waiting for? take DD for Rs 1000 and fill following form and send it now. This was screenshot of IEI reply sent to me.


So those who missed sending remaining Rs 1000 fee of winter 16 exams now can send the DD along with the following form Immediately and be eligible for AMIE Winter 2016 exams by 30 Nov 16.
